I kept trying to use TextMate’s TODO list feature, but libraries and frameworks are littered with TODO’s. One quick fix later and I’m back in business.
PaperBackSwap →
Signed up with PaperBackSwap this weekend when I realized I had about 20 books that I no longer wanted to read that wouldn’t sell on Amazon or eBay. I can swap my unwanted books (not just paperbacks), get credits and then get gently used books back. The only expense to you is the shipping costs to ship the book out, but you pay nothing when you have a book shipped to you.

I’ve been working on getting rid of possessions I no longer use and this is a good summary of why I did it. Value the few possessions you keep and get rid of the stuff that you “might use one day.”

After renovating three bathrooms, planning on reflooring a kitchen and doing small maintenance on my townhouse here and there, I completely agree with everything said here. It is far more fulfilling to repair something yourself then to call someone and have it done for you.
Design View / Andy Rutledge - Where the Buck Stops →
Great article by Andy Rutledge on responsibility. Sure, he frames it for designers, but this applies to everyone. Someone has to step up and assume responsibility, or no one will and you’ll end up with the equivalent of a wet noodle.

Seth's Blog: The problem with positive thinking →
There’s been more and more talk of the lizard brain, positive thinking and avoiding doing the things you love. It’s really been getting to me lately, in a good way.

Sadly, this has nothing to do with Mr. T, instead its an interesting look at how the size of a group can affect how easily they can get stuff done. Bigger does not equal better.
